Trash update

Just f.y.i. for clarification.  Recycling will NOT be picked up on Friday.  It will resume next Tuesday so it should be brought back in so it does not blow around community.

Apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience.

.................
Just F.Y.I.  American Disposal Services (ADS) took their crews off the roads due to the icy conditions yesterday.  Please be advised that trash and recycling will resume on the next scheduled service day (Friday).

ADS will take all trash overflow on Friday and residents are more than welcome to place overflow of recycling in cardboard boxes or clear plastic bags and they will get it all collected next Tuesday.

Decked Out! (Moonlight Mixer Recap)

As all the best parties begin, we threw the kids out and cranked our jams. The Annual Moonlight Mixer was the last summer bash on the pool deck, so we set out to raise the bar, and our cups to the stars.

The DJ spun a few songs that reminded us of summers past, but the dance floor really heated up when he brought out the songs of this summer.

It was a perfect night for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.

If you have any photos of this event that you’d like to embarrass share with the neighbors, feel free to email them to the Social Committee.

And don't forget to check back here for info on upcoming social events!

ManorGate Marlins Summer Season Recap

Hard to believe that summer swim team is over - but it was a great year
for the ManorGate Marlins! Our team of over 165 swimmers from ManorGate
and the surrounding communities did a fabulous job at the meets, ending
with a 2-3 season that saw two of the meets decided by just one or two
relays.

We are particularly proud of the 8&U Girls and the 11-12 Girls, who
earned the first place trophies in their age group for the Blue Division!

Our swimmers strive to better themselves and earned 798 personal bests
throughout the meets - wow! We reward the swimmers with a special
program called Green is Gold, where each 'green' personal best ribbon
earns them a 'gold' ticket in the end of the season lottery. It's a
great way for swimmers to strive for better times and earn a little
extra reward.

We have some swimmers we would like to recognize for their special achievements. Congratulations to the following Marlins who went to the All-Star meet in August. Those who finished in the top six are noted.

Water runoff

A few homes on Palisades have reported issues with water runoff.  GTHOA contracted Drainage Solutions Inc. to dig and sod a trench to divert the water to the nearest drain.  This proposal was selected from three competing bids.  It was the least expensive and simplest solution.  Additionally, Drainage Solutions had excellent references related specifically to water runoff issues.  The work is completed and is expected to solve the runoff issues.

Unfortunately, the hot weather is taking a toll on the sod.  One resident was kind enough to water the sod.  If your home backs up to the new sod, It would be great if you would adopt the sod by watering it until it is fully established.
